MA-1650-4 SERIES
While the Backup Error Flag is ON, the following actions will be made:
1) Every time a long receipt is issued from the Master Terminal, a short buzzer tone is generated to warn
the operator of the Backup Error occurrence.
2) On operating RTR Declaration Cancel, a “Manual Data Copy Compulsory” error occurs, displaying
“PLEASE BACK UP” (standard program; programmable). In this case, the RTR Declaration Cancel will
be accepted only after a manual copying operating.
The following are the two different timings to turn OFF the Backup Error Flag:
(1) When the backup data has been updated correctly by the backup data updating process.
(2) When the Backup Master (ID=2) has been deleted from the connection in the Terminal Connection Table.
9.6 BACKUP DATA UPDATE PROCESS
The process for a Backup Error occurrence is determined by System Option, Address 46 - Bit 1 status selection,
as described below. Even when status “Auto Data Copy” is selected, manual data copying is possible as well.
Auto Data Copy (Address 46 - Bit 1 SET):
When the Backup Error Flag turns ON, the Master Terminal automatically sends to the Backup Master
Terminal the file whose version matching is found to be different, to perform a backup data update process.
Manual Data Copy (Address 46 - Bit 1 RESET):
By the operator’s manual operation, updating of the backup data is performed. (Refer to “MANUAL COPY
OF BACKUP DATA” in “12. OTHER IN-LINE OPERATIONS.”)
NOTE: While the Master Terminal is in in-line service (i.e. with IN-LINE Lamp illuminated), no backup data
update processes are performed. (If the Backup Error Flag turns ON during an in-line service, a Manual
Data Copy operation will be compulsory on canceling the RTR Declaration.)
