12. Adjust X Gain (R760)
a. Set:
CH 1 VOLTS/DIV 10 mV
A SEC/DIV X-Y
b. Connect a 50-mV standard-amplitude signal via a
50-ft cable to the CH 1 OR X input connector.
Adjustment Procedure—2215A Service
c. ADJUST— X Gain (R760) for exactly 5-divisions of
horizontal deflection.
d. Disconnect the test equipment from the instrument.
13. Check X Bandwidth
a. Connect the leveled sine-wave generator output via a
50-0 cable and a 50-0 termination to the CH 1 OR X input
connector.
b. Set the generator to produce a 5-division horizontal
display at an output frequency of 50 kHz.
c. Increase the generator output frequency to 2 MHz.
d. CHECK— Display is at least 3.5 horizontal divisions.
e. Disconnect the test equipment from the instrument.
14. Check A-Sweep Holdoff
a. Set:
HORIZONTAL MODE A
A SEC/DIV 1 ms
VAR HOLDOFF NORM
b. Connect the test oscilloscope and its 10X probe tip to
the front end of R707 (toward the front panel) which is lo
cated on the Timing circuit board.
c. CHECK—The A-Sweep holdoff is greater then 3 ms
but less than 7 ms.
d. Rotate the VAR HOLDOFF control to the maximum
clockwise position (MAX).
e. CHECK—The A-Sweep holdoff has increased by a
factor of 10 or more.
f. Disconnect the test oscilloscope 10X probe from
R707.
