Functions
To Set Magnication
Use Magnicati
on with the WFM displays, VECTOR d isplays, EYE d isplays,
andtheBowtieDisplay(foundintheMEASmenu).
Select a trace
display.
Press and hold the MAG button to display the Magnicationpop-upmenu.
Select a magnication setting, such as Best View, x10, x20, x25, or x30. In
the Vector displays, the magnication is called H Gain (horizontal gain). The
available o
ptions depend on which display is active.
After you have set up Magnication parameters, you only need to press the MAG
button onc
e to activate Magnication. Press it again to remove Magnication.
Cursors
Cursors
enable you to measure time or voltage on a waveform. Cursors appear
only in a tile set to Waveform mode. If the active tile is not in Waveform m ode,
then an error m essage is displayed.
Display and adjust the cursors as follows:
1. Choose
a tile that is currently displaying a waveform.
2. Press and hold the CURSOR button to display the cursor menu and then
selec
t the cursor style you want: Volt age, Time,orVo ltage + Tim e.(After
the cursors are activated and the pop-up menu is closed, pushing CURSOR
again turns the cursors off.)
3. Push the arrow keys to select the active cursor:
If V
oltage or Time cursors a re displayed, press any arrow key to activate
acursor.
If
Vo ltage + Time cursors are both displayed, press either the up or down
arrow key to select between voltage cursors. Press either the left or right
arrow key to select between the time cursors.
4. Turn the GENERAL knob to adjust the selected cursor on the waveform. The
active cursor readout appears in yellow with a knob icon.
NOTE. To quickly c enter the active cursor on screen, press and hold the SEL
button.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 to adjust the other cursor.
