13.1. How to connect
13.1.1. Step 1 – PC or MAC TCP/IP
setup
In order to access the built-in webserver for the first
time, the TCP IP settings from the PC or MAC must be
modified. A fixed IP address has to be set. Therefore
follow the instructions below.
Assigning a Static IP Address in WINDOWS 7
- Go to ‘Control Panel’ (refer to Figure 13.1)
- Double-click on Network and Sharing center

- Click on Change adapter settings

- Right-click on Local Area Connection ( refer
to Figure 13.3)
- Click on Properties

- Click on Internet Protocol 4 (TCP/IPv4) (refer
to Figure 13.4).

- Click properties
- Input your IP Address and subnet mask
(refer to Figure 13.5).
The IP Addresses on the network must be
within the same range. The default IP
address from the central unit is
192.168.0.20 so the computer should have
an IP Address that is within the same
subnet, like 192.168.0.11 and 192.168.0.21.
The subnet mask must be the same for all
equipment on the network: 255.255.255.0)
- Click OK
Note:
The D-cerno CU-R has a default fixed IP
address and subnet mask:
IP: 192.168.0.20
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
