OPERATION GUIDELINES
OPERATIONAL LIMITATIONS
PLATFORM LEVELING SYSTEM
The platform leveling system is designed to carry the rated load of the platform. Collision of the platform(s)
with a fixed object, including the ground, or attachment of any load lifting devices to the platform(s) can
damage or break the leveling system, causing the platform to be overturned. Avoidance of these hazards
and use of OSHA approved fall protection system for all personnel in the platform is essential for protection
against this type of accident.
PLATFORM LEVELING SYSTEM WITHOUT GENERATOR
This is a battery powered system which requires routine battery replacement. The battery should be
exchanged monthly or sooner if the “Low Battery” alarm sounds during operation. A replacement battery is
located in the truck cab with a re charge connection. To replace the battery, open the battery box located on
the backside of the platform, disconnect the discharged battery at the quick connect and replace with the
fully charged battery. Connect the discharged battery to the charger in the truck cab.
Do not allow booms or platform to make contact with fixed objects including the
ground. Look for possible contact of booms or platform with fixed objects if you
feel the platform is not staying level.
The platform leveling mechanism is designed to carry the rated platform capacity,
applied standing over the center of the platform floor, and the jib load. Hoisting of
material from the outer edge of the platform, from a pole attached to and extending
over the top of the platform, places excessive loads on the leveling mechanism.
This procedure could cause overturning of the platform(s) and ejection of
personnel.
This unit is a non-overcenter unit and must be operated in the operational range
described in the limit system.
