7.Usethetie-downpointsonthemachinetosecurely
bindthemachinetothetrailerortruckwithstraps,
chains,cable,orropes(Figure27).

LoadingtheMachine
Useextremecautionwhenloadingunitsontotrailersor
trucks.Use1full-widthrampthatiswideenoughtoextend
beyondthereartiresisrecommendedinsteadofindividual
rampsforeachsideofthemachine(Figure28).Theplatform,
whendownandlockedintoposition,mustextendback
betweentherearwheelsandservesasastopfortipping
backward.Havingafull-widthrampprovidesasurfacefor
theplatformtocontactifthemachinestartstotipbackward.
Withtheplatformup,afull-widthrampprovidesasurfaceto
walkonbehindthemachine.
Therampshouldbelongenoughsothattheanglesdonot
exceed15degrees(Figure28).Asteeperanglemaycausetine
componentstogetcaught,asthemachinemovesfromramp
totrailerortruck.Asteeperanglemayalsocausethemachine
totipbackward.Ifloadingonornearaslope,positionthe
trailerortrucksoitisonthedownsideoftheslopeand
therampextendsuptheslope.Thiswillminimizetheramp
angle.Thetrailerortruckshouldbeaslevelaspossible.
