AdjustingtheTensiononthe
Drive-WheelChain
1.Stoptheengine,settheparkingbrake,removethekey,
andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
2.Lifttherearofthemachineandsupportitusingjack
stands.
3.Checkthetensionofthedrive-wheelchains(Figure50).
Note:Thechainsshouldmoveupanddown6to12
mm(1/4to1/2inch).

5.Increaseordecreasechaintensionbyperformingthe
following:
Pushdownandforwardonthesprockettoincrease
thechaintensionasshowninFigure50.
Liftupandbackonthesprockettodecreasethe
chaintension.
6.Torquethelocknutto91to113N-m(67to83ft-lb).
7.Checkthechaintensionandifnecessaryrepeatsteps4
through6untilyoucanmovethechainupanddown6
to12mm(1/4to1/2inch).
