Tension
1.Stoptheengine,settheparkingbrake,removethekey,
andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
2.Lifttherearofthemachineandsupportitusingjack
standsorequivalentsupport.
3.Checkthechainsonbothsidesofthemachinefor
propertension.
Note:Thechainsshouldmoveupanddown6to12
mm(1/4to1/2inch).
4.Ateachsideofthemachine,loosenthe3nutsand
boltsthatsecurethetransmissionmountandtensioner
plate,andthe2nutssecuringtheadjustmentboltatthe
tensionerplateasshowninFigure49.
Note:Youmustloosenthenutsandboltsthatsecure
thetransmissionmountandtensionerplateatboth
sidesofthemachine.
