1.Stoptheengine,settheparkingbrake,removethekey,
andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
2.Raisethemachineandsupportitwithjackstandswith
a460kg(1,015lb)capacity.
3.Checktheauxiliarypump-drivebeltconditionand
tension(Figure54).
Note:Thebeltshoulddeect1.3cm(1/2inch)when
1.4kg(3lb)offorceisappliedtothebeltmidway
betweentheauxiliarypumpandenginepulleys.Ifthe
belttensionistoohighortoolow ,refertoAdjusting
theAuxiliaryPumpDriveBelt(page42).
4.Checkconditionofthetransmission-drivebelt(Figure
54).

outwardtotightenthebelt.

inwardtoloosenthebelt.

1.4kg(3lb)offorceisappliedtothebeltmidway
betweentheauxiliarypumpandenginepulleys.
4.Tightenthelocknutto37to45N-m(27to33ft-lb).
