Iftheparkingbrakedoesnotholdsecurely,an
adjustmentisrequired.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Shutoffengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
3.Checktheairpressureinthedrivetires.
Note:Ifneeded,adjusttotherecommended
ination;refertoCheckingtheAirPressurein
theTires(page46).
4.Loosenthejamnutonthebrakecableunder
theconsole(Figure54).

6.Adjustthejamnutpositionuntil7.9cm(3-1/8
inch)fromthebottomofthelinktothebottomof
thespring(Figure54).

8.Checktheparkingbrake;ifnecessary,repeat
steps4through7.

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
3.Priortheadjustingthebrakeswitchensurethat
theparkingbrakeisproperlyadjusted;referto
AdjustingtheParkingBrake(page48).
4.Engagetheparkingbrake.
5.Checkthedistancebetweentheparking
brake-switchbrackettothebrakearmofthe
transmission(Figure55).
Note:Thedistanceshouldbe3.2mm(1/8
inch).
