System
Thesafetyinterlocksystemisdesignedtopreventtheengine
fromstartingunless:
•Theparkingbrakeisengaged.
•ThePTOengagementleverisdisengaged.
•Thespeedcontrolleverisintheneutralposition
Thesafetyinterlocksystemisdesignedtostoptheengine
whenyourisefromtheseatwhenthePTOisengaged.
Thehourmeterhassymbolstonotifytheuserwhenthe
interlockcomponentisinthecorrectposition.Whenthe
componentisinthecorrectposition,atrianglewilllightup
inthecorrespondingsquare.

Testthesafetyinterlocksystembeforeyouusethemachine
eachtime.Ifthesafetysystemdoesnotoperateasdescribed
below,haveanAuthorizedServiceDealerrepairthesafety
systemimmediately.
1.Sittingontheseat,engagetheparkingbrake,movethe
PTOengagementlevertoon,andmovethespeed
controllevertoneutralposition.Trystartingthe
engine;theengineshouldnotcrank.
2.Sittingontheseat,engagetheparkingbrakeandmove
thePTOengagementlevertooff.Movethespeed
controlleveroutofneutralposition.Trystartingthe
engine;theengineshouldnotcrank.
3.Sittingontheseat,disengagetheparkingbrake,move
thePTOengagementlevertooff,andmovethespeed
controllevertoneutralposition.Trystartingthe
engine;theengineshouldnotcrank.
4.Sittingontheseat,engagetheparkingbrake,move
thePTOengagementlevertooffandmovethespeed
controllevertoneutralposition.Nowstarttheengine.
Whiletheengineisrunning,releasetheparkingbrake,
engagethePTOengagementlever,andriseslightly
fromtheseat;theengineshouldstop.
5.Sittingontheseat,engagetheparkingbrake,move
thePTOengagementlevertooffandmovethespeed
controllevertoneutralposition.Nowstarttheengine.
Movethespeedcontrolleverforward;theengine
shouldstop.
DrivingForwardorBackward
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedasmeasured
inrpm(revolutionsperminute).Placethethrottlecontrolin
thefastpositionforbestperformance.Alwaysoperateinthe
fullthrottlepositionwhenmowing.
CAUTION
Machinecanspinveryrapidly.Operatormaylose
controlofmachineandcausepersonalinjuryor
damagetomachine.

Note:Tobeginmovement(forwardorbackward)the
operatormustbeintheseat,thebrakelevermustbe

Tostop,pullthespeedcontrollevertotheneutralposition.
