5.Tostop,pullthespeedcontrolleverbacktotheneutral
position.
DrivingBackward
1.Tomoverearwardinastraightline,pullbothsteering
leversrearwardequally.
Toturnleftorright,releasepressureonthesteering
levertowardthedirectiondesired.
2.Tostop,releasethesteeringleverstotheneutral
position.
StoppingtheMachine
1.Pullthespeedcontrolleverbacktotheneutralposition,
disengagethePTOengagementlever,andturnthe
ignitionkeytooff.
2.Settheparkingbrakewhenyouleavethemachine;
refertoSettingtheParkingBrake(page16).
3.Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethemachinewhileitis
unattended.
Alwaysremovetheignitionkeyandsettheparking
brakewhenleavingthemachineunattended,even
ifjustforafewminutes.
RaisingtheMowerDeckinto
ServicePosition
1.Stopengine,waitforallmovingpartstostopand
removekey.Engageparkingbrake.
WARNING
Incorrectlyraisingorloweringamowerdeck
canbedangerous.Adroppedmowerdeckcan
resultinaseriousinjuryorpropertydamage.
•Alwaysraiseandlowerthemowerdeckon
at,dryground,freeofanyobstructions.
•Firmlygraspthemowerdecklifthandle
andlowerinaslowcontrolledmanner.
•Alwaysmakesurethemowerdeckis
securelylatchedinthe“up”or“down”
position.
