AligningthePumpDrivePulley
Thepumpdrivepulleyalignmentisnecessaryforanyofthe
followingconditions:
•Theenginemountingboltshavebeenloosenedorthe
enginehasbeenmovedorreplaced.
•Thepumppulleyshavebeenloosened,moved,or
replaced.
•ThePTOpulleyalignmenthasbeenperformed;referto
AligningthePTODrivePulley(page45).
1.Stopthemachineandmovethespeed-controlleverto
theneutralposition.
2.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,stopthe
engine,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
3.Loosenthesetscrewsonbothpumppulleys.
4.Usingastraightedge,aligneachpumppulleywiththe
enginepulleybyslidingitalongthepumpshaft(Figure
58).
5.Tightenthepulleysetscrewsandcheckthealignment.
AdjustingthePTOBrake
Spring
ThePTObrakespringadjustmentisonlynecessaryifthe
blowerhasbeenremovedorreplacedorifthePTOdrive
idlerarmhasbeendisassembled.
1.Stopthemachineandmovethespeed-controlleverto
theneutralposition.
2.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,stopthe
engine,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
3.Locatethebrakespringandthreadthetwojamnuts
outtotheendofthebrakespringrod(Figure59).
4.Tightenthejamnutstogetheratendofthebrake-spring
rod.
