AdjustingtheReverse-Stop
Rod
1.Stopthemachineandmovethespeedcontrolleverto
theneutralposition.
2.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,stopthe
engine,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
3.Checkthemovementofthesteeringleversasfollows:
•Iftheleversmoveslightlyforwardupto3mm
(1/8inch)thennoadjustmentisnecessary.
•Iftheleversdonotmove,thenproceedwiththe
followingsteps:
A.Flipuptheseatuporremovetheseatframe
assembly(withtheseatattached)toobtain
aclearviewofthesteeringcontrolshaftto
completethisadjustment.
B.Placethespeedcontrolleverintheneutral
position.
C.Releasetheparkingbrake.
D.Slightlyadjustthelengthoftherodby
looseningthejamnutandbyrotatingtherod.

1.Stopthemachineandmovethespeed-controlleverto
theneutralposition.
2.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,stopthe
engine,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
3.Toadjustthetension,adjustthepivotnutwhichis
locatedattheendofthemotioncontrolshaftinfront
oftherighthandconsole(Figure56).
Note:Setthetensionhighenoughthatthespeed
controlleverpositionismaintainedduringoperation
andlooseenoughtobemovedcomfortablybythe
operator.
