InstallingtheFilters
Important:Topreventenginedamage,alwaysoperate
theenginewithbothairltersandthecoverinstalled.
1.Ifinstallingnewlters,checkeachlterforshipping
damage.
Note:Donotuseadamagedlter.
2.Ifyouarereplacingthesafetylter,carefullyslideit
intothelterbody(Figure38).
3.Carefullyslidetheprimarylteroverthesafetylter
(Figure38).
Note:Ensurethattheprimarylterisfullyseatedby
pushingontheouterrimwhileinstallingit.
Important:Donotpressonthesoft,insidearea
ofthelter.
4.Installtheair-cleanercoverandsecurethelatches
(Figure38).
