Note:Checkthehydraulicuidlevelwhentheuidiscold.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Disengagethepowertakeoff(PTO)andshutoffthe
engine.
3.Waitforallmovingpartstostopandsettheparking
brakebeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
4.Cleantheareaaroundthecapandthellerneckofthe
hydraulictank(Figure71).

5.Removethecapfromthellerneck(Figure71).
Note:Lookinsidetochecktheuidlevelinthe
reservoir.
6.Adduidtothereservoiruntilitreachesthelllevel.
7.Installthecaponthellerneck.

Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.
Ifhydraulicuidisinjectedintotheskin,
itmustbesurgicallyremovedwithinafew
hoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththistype
ofinjury.Gangrenemayresultifthisis
notdone.
Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrom
pinholeleaksornozzlesthateject
high-pressurehydraulicuid.
Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks.
Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem.
Makesurethatallhydraulic-uidhoses
areingoodcondition,andallthatthe
hydraulicconnectionsandttingsaretight
beforeapplyingpressuretothehydraulic
system.
