1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),movethe
motioncontrolleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Removethedustcapfromthecasterandtightenthe
locknut(Figure56).
4.Tightenthelocknutuntilthespringwashersareat,
andthenbackoffa1/4turntoproperlysetthepreload
onthebearings(Figure56).
Important:Makesurethatthespringwashersare
installedcorrectlyasshowninFigure56.
