WARNING
Handsmaybecomeentangledintherotatingdrive
componentsbelowtheenginedeck,whichcould
resultinseriousinjury.
Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andallow
allmovingpartstostopbeforeaccessingthe
drive-wheelreleasevalves.
WARNING
Theengineandhydraulicdriveunitscanbecome
veryhot.Touchingahotengineorhydraulicdrive
unitscancausesevereburns.
Allowtheengineandhydraulicdriveunitstocool
completelybeforeaccessingthedrive-wheelrelease
valves.
Thedrive-wheelreleasevalvesarelocatedinthebackofeach
hydraulicdriveunit,undertheseat.
Note:Makesurethatthereleasevalvesareinthefully
horizontalpositionwhenoperatingthemachineorsevere
damagetothehydraulicsystemcanoccur.
1.DisengagethePTO(blade-controlswitch),turnthe
ignitionkeytotheOFFposition,movetheleversto
theNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,applytheparkingbrake,
andremovethekey.
2.Rotatethereleasevalveleversverticallytopushthe
machine.Thisallowshydraulicoiltobypassthepump
enablingthewheelstoturn(Figure36).
3.Disengagetheparkingbrakebeforepushingthe
machine.
