1.Shutofftheengine,waitforallmovingpartstostop,
andremovethekey.Engagetheparkingbrake.

2.Raisethefrontofthemachineup,andsupportitwith
jackstands(orequivalentsupport)justhighenoughto
allowthefrontwheelstoturnfreely.
3.Removethecasterwheelfromthecasterforks.
4.Removethesealguardsfromthewheelhub.
5.Removeaspacernutfromtheaxleassemblyinthe
casterwheel.
Note:Thread-lockingadhesivehasbeenappliedto
lockthespacernutstotheaxle.
6.Removetheaxle(withtheotherspacernutstill
assembledtoit)fromthewheelassembly.
7.Pryoutseals,andinspectthebearingsforwearor
damageandreplacethemifnecessary.
8.Packthebearingswithageneral-purposegrease.
9.Insert1bearingand1newsealintothewheel.
Note:Replacetheseals.
10.Iftheaxleassemblyhashadbothspacernutsremoved
(orbrokenloose),applythread-lockingadhesiveto1
spacernutandthreaditontotheaxlewiththewrench
atsfacingoutward.
Note:Donotthreadthespacernutallthewayonto
theendoftheaxle.Leaveapproximately3mm(1/8
inch)fromtheoutersurfaceofthespacernuttothe
endoftheaxleinsidethenut.
11.Inserttheassemblednutandaxleintothewheelonthe
sideofthewheelwiththenewsealandbearing.
12.Withtheopenendofthewheelfacingup,llthearea
insidethewheelaroundtheaxlefullofgeneral-purpose
grease.
13.Insertthesecondbearingandanewsealintothewheel.
