batterycablebeforedisconnectingthe
positive(red)cable.

1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),move
themotion-controlleverstotheneutral-locked
positionandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Firstdisconnectthenegativebatterycable
(black)fromthenegative(-)(black)battery
terminal(Figure60).
4.Slidetheredterminalbootoffthepositive(red)
batteryterminalandremovethepositive(+)(red)
batterycable(Figure60).
5.Removethewingnutsecuringthebatteryclamp
(Figure60).
6.Removetheclamp(Figure60).
7.Removethebattery.
