Checkingthe
Safety-InterlockSystem
Thepurposeofthesafety-interlocksystemisto
preventtheenginefromcrankingorstartingunless
thetractionpedalisinneutral,thePTOswitchisin
theOFFposition,theparkingbrakeisengaged,orthe
operatorisintheseat.
Inaddition,theengineshouldshutoffwhen:
•TheoperatorleavestheseatwiththePTOswitch
intheONposition;
•Theoperatorleavestheseatwiththetraction
pedaloutofneutral;
•Thetractionpedalispressedwiththeparking
brakeengaged.
CAUTION
Ifthesafety-interlockswitchesare
disconnectedordamaged,themachinecould
operateunexpectedly,causingpersonal
injury.
•Donottamperwiththeinterlockswitches.
•Checktheoperationoftheinterlock
switchesdailyandreplaceanydamaged
switchesbeforeoperatingthemachine.
