out—awayfromthehopper.

propertydamage.
Wearappropriateclothing,includingeye
protection;slip-resistant,substantialfootwear;
longpants;andhearingprotection.Tiebacklong
hairanddonotweardanglingjewelry.
Donotoperatethemachinewhentired,ill,or
undertheinuenceofalcoholordrugs.
Nevercarrypassengersonthemachineandkeep
bystandersandpetsawayfromthemachine
duringoperation.
Keepyourhandsandfeetoutofthehopper.
Remainseatedwheneverthetowvehicleisin
motion.
Usingthemachinedemandsattention.Failing
tooperatetowvehiclesafelymayresultinan
accident,tip-overofthetowvehicle,andserious
injuryordeath.Drivecarefully,andtoprevent
tippingorlossofcontrol,dothefollowing:
Useextremecaution,reducethespeed,and
maintainasafedistancearoundsandtraps,
ditches,waterhazards,ramps,unfamiliar
areas,orotherhazards.
Reducethespeedofaloadedmachinewhen
negotiatingterrainundulationstoavoidcausing
themachinetobecomeunstable.
Watchforholesorotherhiddenhazards.
Usecautionwhenoperatingonasteepslope.
Travelstraightupanddownslopes.Reduce
speedwhenmakingsharpturnsorwhen
turningonhillsides.Avoidturningonhillsides
wheneverpossible.
Useextracautionwhenoperatingonwet
surfaces,athigherspeedsorwithafullload.
Stoppingtimeincreaseswithafullload.Shift
intoalowergearbeforestartingupordown
ahill.
Avoidsuddenstopsandstarts.Donotgo
fromreversetoforwardorforwardtoreverse
withoutcomingtoacompletestop.
Donotattemptsharpturnsorabrupt
maneuversorotherunsafedrivingactionsthat
maycausealossofcontrol.
Beawareofyoursurroundingswhenturning
orbackingupthemachine.Ensurethatthe
areaisclearandkeepallbystandersatasafe
distance.Proceedslowly.
Watchoutfortrafcwhennearorcrossing
roads.Alwaysyieldtherightofwayto
pedestriansandothervehicles.Obeyalltrafc
rulesandcheckforlocalregulationsonthe
operationofthemachineonornearhighways.
Alwayswatchoutforandavoidlowoverhangs
suchastreelimbs,doorjambs,overhead
walkways,etc.Ensurethatthereisenough
roomoverheadtoeasilyclearthetowvehicle
andyourhead.
Donotoperatethemachinewhenthereisthe
riskoflightning.
Ifyouareeverunsureaboutsafeoperation,
stopworkingandaskyoursupervisor.
Donotleavethemachineunattendedwhileit
isrunning.
Ensurethatthemachineisconnectedtothetow
vehiclebeforeloadingorunloading.
Donotcarryloadsthatexceedtheloadlimitsof
themachineorthetowvehicle.
Thestabilityofloadscanvary—forexample,high
loadshaveahighercenterofgravity.Reducethe
maximumloadlimitstoensurebetterstability,if
necessary.
Toavoidcausingthemachinetotipover,dothe
following:
Carefullymonitortheheightandweightofthe
load.Higherandheavierloadscanincrease
theriskoftipping.
Distributetheloadevenly,fromfronttoback
andsidetoside.
