Disconnectallpowersourcestothemachine
beforedoingmaintenancework.
Pre-MaintenanceSafety
•Beforeservicingormakingadjustmentstothe
machine,stopthemachine,shutofftheengine,
engagetheparkingbrake,removethekey,and
waitforallmovingpartstostop.
•Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructions
describedinthismanual.Ifmajorrepairsare
everneededorassistanceisdesired,contactan
authorizedT orodistributor.
•Ensurethatthemachineisinsafeoperating
conditionbykeepingnuts,bolts,andscrewstight.
•Ifpossible,donotperformmaintenancewhilethe
engineisrunning.Keepawayfrommovingparts.
•Donotcheckoradjustthechaintensionwhenthe
tractorengineisrunning.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswith
storedenergy.
•Supportthemachinewithblocksorstoragestands
whenworkingbeneathit.Neverrelyonthe
tractor'shydraulicstosupportthemachine.
•Checkthetinemountingboltsdailytobesurethat
theyaretightenedtospecication.
•Ensurethatallguardsareinstalledandthehood
issecuredshutaftermaintainingoradjustingthe
machine.
Lubrication
LubricatingtheMachine
•Useanall-purposeautomotivegrease.
•Lubricateregularly,after25hoursofnormal
operation.
•Lubricatedailywhenoperatinginextremelydusty
anddirtyconditions.
•Lubricateallbearings,bushings,andchains.
Severalgreasettingsarelocatedonthemachine
andthetow-behindchassis(Figure52,Figure53and
Figure54).
1.Cleanthegreasettings.
2.Pumpthegreaseintothebearingsandthe
bushings.
3.Cleanofftheexcessgrease.
4.Cleanandpackthewheelbearingseveryyear
orevery300hoursofoperation
