PreparingtheMachine
WARNING
Whileyouaremaintainingoradjustingthe
machine,someonecouldstarttheengine.
Accidentallystartingtheenginecould
seriouslyinjureyouorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyfromtheignition,engage
parkingbrake,andpullthewire(s)offthe
sparkplug(s)beforeyoudoanymaintenance.
Alsopushthewire(s)asidesoitdoesnot
accidentallycontactthesparkplug(s).
Performthefollowingbeforeservicing,cleaning,or
makinganyadjustmentstothemachine.
1.Shutthehopper-doorcontrol,shutoffthe
impeller-speedcontrol,shutofftheboom
sprayer-controlvalves,andshutoffthe
sprayer-pumpswitch.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
3.MovethemotioncontrolstotheNEUTRAL
position.
4.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
5.Engagetheparkingbrake.
6.Waitforallmovingpartstostopallowtheengine
tocoolbeforeservicing,storing,ormaking
repairs.
7.Removethecablefromthenegativebattery
terminal(Figure61).
