Procedure 3: The check and update of EC/KBC information
The EC/KBC version of a computer is checked, and when it is not the latest
version, it updates.
The following menu is displayed on a screen. When the EC/KBC update is
needed.
Check update EC/KBC
EC/KBC Version = VX.XX (VX.XX) Possible to update
Does it update EC/KBC? (Y or N), or or press [Enter] (Selection=Y)?
Pressing on an Enter key will start EC/KBC update.
Then, since a computer restarts, it begins from the step 2.
In addition, when not updating, press N key is pressed and then Enter key.
NOTE: 1. Connect the AC adapter and the charged battery to the computer when you
update the BIOS or EC/KBC.
2. Do not turn off the power while you are updating the BIOS or EC/KBC.
If the update fails, it might be impossible to start up the computer.
3. If the update rewrite fails, when you next turn on the power, a message may
be displayed that the contents of the BIOS or EC/KBC have been erased. In
that case, turn on the power again and perform Procedure 2 or 3.
