4.11 Platen Replacement
1. Follow the instructions in Section 4.7 to remove the two screws, stepping motor and stepping
motor cover.
2. Remove the E ring and two gears.

3. Remove the E-ring and the printer carriage release lever on the left side of the mechanism.
4. Remove the E-ring and the printer carriage release lever arm.
