3.4.2. CCU3/C-4100 to the CCUNet:
There are 2 ports that communicate using the CCUNet protocol (Com 2 and Com
3). These ports are configured for RS422 operation. Pin 1, the Earth pin, may be
used to connect the shield on a shielded cable. Pin 4, the 0V pin may be required
in very (electrically) noisy environments to shield cable pairs, especially if the cable
is run over long distances. For long runs a 100 Ohm terminating resistor should be
connected between RX+ and RX-. Refer to Appendix B for the detailed cabling
information.

To connect the CCU3/C-4100 to the PC, you will require an XLGraphics 422 USB
interface adaptor. (Part number: XLG-SWT-USB-422-U-CS)
