What to do if my US Cutter Copam Cutter is cutting erratically?
    • J
      John SimonJul 31, 2025
If your US Cutter cutter is performing erratically, stopping mid-cut, or cutting unintended lines, the USB connection might be the issue. Some computers don't work well with USB connections to cutters. If you're using a USB cable, try a serial cable connection. If a serial connection isn't available, consider using a third-party USB-to-serial connector or a PCI card serial adapter. You can also try another connection method.

How to fix jagged cuts on my US Cutter?
    • M
      Maurice ChaneyAug 5, 2025
If your US Cutter cutter is producing jagged or inconsistent cuts, the blade may be dull or damaged. Try replacing it with a new blade. Also, ensure the blade can turn freely within the blade carriage. Adjust the blade depth and force settings on the cutter to achieve solid, uniform cuts.

What causes slashes across vinyl when cutting with my US Cutter?
    • J
      Jonathan DeckerAug 10, 2025
Slashes across the vinyl during cutting with your US Cutter are often caused by the blade protruding too far from the blade carriage. Adjust the blade so that it extends minimally from the carriage.

Why is my US Cutter Copam Cutter unresponsive to my computer?
    • D
      Deborah GarciaAug 15, 2025
Communication issues may occur if the US Cutter cutter was powered on while the software attempts to send data. Try exiting the cutter screen in SignBlazer, then return to the main screen. If that doesn't work, save your work, exit SignBlazer, and restart with the cutter already powered on. Also, ensure your software's output device setting is configured to the correct COM/LPT port. You may also need to adjust your COM Port settings (set Flow Control to Hardware). Finally, try a different connection method or replace the cable if necessary.

Why won't my US Cutter plotter power on?
    • L
      lhodgesAug 20, 2025
If your US Cutter plotter isn't powering on, first check that the power cable is securely connected to both the cutter and a grounded power outlet or surge protector. If the connection is secure and there's still no power, the power cord may be damaged. Try another power cord with the cutter, or test the cutter's power cord on a different device. Replace the power cord if necessary.

Why are the media measurements inconsistent on my US Cutter?
    • O
      Olivia OrtizAug 26, 2025
Inconsistent or incorrect media measurements on your US Cutter can be due to the cutter's light-sensitive sensors. Try redirecting any strong light sources near or pointed at the cutter. Also, make sure the two outer pinch rollers are positioned on opposite edges of the material.
