8.8.4. DC link capacitor tests and replacement
8. 8. 4. 1. Test
The condition of each capacitor must be verified when:
A short circuit has occurred in the main circuit of the IGBT
A capacitor has short circuited
Any short circuit between different voltage potentials has occurred in the DC-link
8. 8. 4. 2. Replacement
Replacement of the capacitors, when there is a short circuit in the capacitor.
All capacitors which are inter connectioned in the same bank between DC+ and DC-.
See Figure 2.
All capacitors should be replaced when the drive has been used for the period of time
specified in chapter “Recommended maintenance”, when considering the load, environ-
ment temperature and humidity.
