5.12 Interface RS232/485
This is an asynchronous serial communication method. The term serial means that the information is sent
bit by bit. Asynchronous means that the information is not sent at previously agreed times. The sending of
data can start at any arbitrary moment and it is part of the recipient's task to discover when a message
starts and ends.
