5.5 Software Upgrade
TX300s Platform includes the bootloader, OS and system-wide (common) features. Its software update package can be identified as
tx300s-veex.tar.gz.
The TX300s Platform uses the traditional V300 upgrade procedure to update the System. The software upgrade packages can be
downloaded from www.veexinc.com, or using the test set’s built-in VeExpress client.

5.5.1 Platform Software Upgrade Procedure
1. Obtain the tx300s-veex.tar.gz system upgrade package.
Download it from www.veexinc.com, www.v-express.com, a link provided or by using the built-in VeExpress client.
Unzip the file and copy to the root of a FAT32 USB memory stick if necessary.
2. Insert the memory stick to the USB port located on the left-side of the unit.
3. Initiate Software Upgrade process.
Simultaneously press the App, and Power buttons, until it beeps.
Let the upgrade process finish.
It could take a few minutes.
The test set reboots itself at the end.
4. The test set is now up-to-date.
After the System Upgrade, the following pop-up message may appear if a Module Upgrade is required. Follow the module
update procedure.
