horn

Mark the location of the hole in the seat front gusset. Insert a 2 inch square rigid
point in this position (if this was not done at an earlier time), and drill a 1/4 inch hole.
Space the KS-3 arm with the horn link and two washers and mark the mounting holes in
the fuselage wall. Insert a rigid point on the inside wall (if this has not been done
previously) to make a flat location for the arm (insert a piece about 1/16 inches shorter
than the arm extension, but two inches wide. Close with 2 layers of BID with at least 1/2
inch of overlap everywhere. Drill the holes and assemble the KS-3 arm with #10-32
countersunk screws.
Install horn with 1/4 inch bolt (AN4-16 or similar) and castellated nut and washers.
Mount the yoke to the aileron actuating rod with two nose rod assemblies and a 1/4 inch
section of threaded rod with the necessary nuts. Measure the length of this rod to define
the intermediate holes indicated in a vertical plane when the stick is neutralized (see
sketch). Repeat this procedure on the other side with the horn on the other side.
