 Turn the cutting discs by hand until the damaged knife is in the
position shown.
 Use a suitable tool to remove the bolt.
 Replace the knife.
 Inspect the bolt for wear.
• If the bolts are damaged or worn, they must be changed.
The minimum diameter of the bolt must not be less than 16 mm (
5
/
8”).
 Mount the knife and bolt.
 Tighten the bolt with a torque wrench to a torque of 95 Nm (70 ft/lb).
If the machine is fitted with knife quick release*, the same requirement
applies for bolt wear.

 Close the guards around the machine's cutterbar.
 Fit the pin.
