4000 Series GSM Audio Intercom with Proximity
Programming the GSM Intercom
Example 2: A 6 button GSM audiokit would consist of an Art.4810-1/4G and an Art.4045 button module. Without the oset
enabled the Art.4810-1/4G onboard button would be button 1 and the Art.4045 buttons (with the cong. jumper R
set to position 6 - 10) would be buttons 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 bottom to top respectively.
To set the panel buttons to read 1 - 6 from the bottom up, the oset value used from the table above would be 81 and
with the cong. jumper R still set to position 6 - 10 on the Art.4045 button module the following text can be sent to
the GSM intercom:
1111BOF81?
Including a ? at the end of the command the GSM intercom will reply with the following text:
BOF = 81
VIDEX 4G
With the oset value now set to 81 (and therefore enabled) the Art.4810-1/4G onboard button would become button
6 and the Art.4045 buttons, with the cong. jumper R still set to position 6 - 10, would become buttons 1, 2, 3, 4 and
5 bottom to top. So the panel buttons would now read 1 - 6 from the bottom up, as shown in the example in the call
button conguration table on page 7.
ACTIVATE REMOTE RELAY OUTPUT RLN
When the GSM intercom is networked with the Art.2813 relay via the RS485 bus (see wiring diagram examples on pages 28 and 29,
Fig.37 and Fig.38) it is possible to activate the any of the three outputs (the onboard relay, A1 and A2) remotely via text message.
It is important that the remote relay has already been setup with a unit ID (from ID.00 to ID.63) and with the output activation times
programmed, further details on this can be found in the installation intructions: 2813_66251545_V1-0 (or later).
To activate the desired output the following texts can be sent to the GSM intercom.
1111RLNnn Activate the remote relay, where nn = the unit ID of the remote relay from ID.00 to ID.63. The onboard
relay will activate for the programmed time.
1111RLNnn? As above and also send a conrmation text back to the sender.
1111RLNnna? Activate the specied output on the remote relay, where nn = the unit ID of the remote relay from
ID.00 to ID.63 and where a = 1 (for the onboard relay), 2 (for auxiliary A1) or 3 (for auxiliary A2). The
specied output will activate for the programmed time and the GSM will send a conrmation text back
to the sender.
