Why is the image quality bad on my Videx Speakers video station?

  If the internal video station of your Videx Speakers turns on, but the image quality is poor or reflected, it could be due to: * Signal V1 or V2 not connected or in short circuit. * V1 & V2 signals inverted. * Missing closing resistances at the end of the BUS video. * Dip-switches or jumpers on the monitor or camera not correctly positioned. To resolve this: 1. Check the continuity of the connection and the isolation to the ground. 2. Check and, if necessary, invert the connections. 3. Check and, if necessary, apply the closing resistances on the BUS video. 4. Check dip-switches and jumpers.

  If your Videx Intercom System doesn't ring the extension when a call comes in, and the front panel displays 'Engaged' or 'Error' with acoustic signals, the following could be the cause: 1. The phone or videophone might not be correctly connected; check the BUS line connection. 2. The wire section (BUS) might be too small; increase the wire section or double them with others available. 3. The address programmed on the dip-switch of the phone, videophone, or accessory might not match the call; check that the address associated with the call corresponds to the one programmed on the dip-switch. 4. If a concierge is present in the system, it might have been left in programming mode; remove VX2210 from programming mode.

  If the audio level during conversations on your Videx Intercom System is too low, it could be that the conversation volumes in both directions are not appropriately adjusted. To resolve this, adjust the trimmers for the microphone and loudspeaker on the outdoor station to achieve the best hearing level without oscillations (Larsen effect).

Why is my Videx VX2200 Intercom System conversation one-way?

  If calls go through on your Videx Intercom System, but the conversation is only one-way, the supplying voltage on the outdoor station might be too low (under 10.5V). To fix this, increase the supply wires section (GND and 13V) or double them with others available.

Why does my Videx VX2200 Intercom System show 'ERROR' and beep?

  If the VX2202/.. / VX2203/.. front panel of your Videx Intercom System displays 'ERROR' (VX2202/.. only) and emits intermittent acoustic signals every 2 seconds, here are the possible causes: 1. There might be a short circuit on the BUS '?' and 'L' line; check the BUS connections. 2. The polarity on the BUS connection of a phone, videophone, or connected accessory could be inverted; check the polarity of the device connection. 3. The VX2202/.. or VX2203/.. might be programmed as 'Slave' when it should be 'Master'; configure the device as 'Master'.

  If the Videx speaker's outdoor station makes the call correctly, but when the user answers, the communication is cut off, the cable size may be too small. Double or increase the cable size.

  If the front panel display of your Videx Speakers shows “ERROR” and the unit emits intermittent acoustic signals approximately every 2 seconds, the problem could be due to a short circuit on the BUS lines, reversed polarity on a BUS connection, or the panel being incorrectly programmed as a 'Slave' when it should be 'Master'. Resolve this by: 1. Checking the BUS connections. 2. Checking the polarity of connected devices. 3. Configuring the device as 'Master'.

  If the communication on your Videx Intercom System is cut off when the door is opened during a conversation, the wire section is likely too small. Increase the wire section or double them with others available to resolve this.
