The standard service recommendation and alternative
service recommendation both consist of three parts.
The three parts are oil grade, viscosity and service
intervals. These can be found in the same order on the
following pages. The following procedure can be very
useful when deciding which oil to
use.
1 Find out which service category the component
belongs to
2 Use the information in the table under Service
intervals and determine the service
recommendation to be used
3 Use the information under Oil grade and
Viscosity to determine which oil to use
Oil grade
1 Transmission oils: Volvo transmission oils
97305, 97307 or 97315.
2 Engine oils: API CE or CF; ACEA E2 or E3.

Only monograde oils.
