Term Description
API Application Programming Interface.
CDX WASSP PC application for control, visualisation and post processing of DRX data.
COG Course Over Ground.
DATAMANAGER
A WASSP Application usually installed along with WASSP CDX. This application
allows recording and playback of DRX data packets (free) and has a number of
other licensed features.
DGPS Dierential Global Positioning System.
DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, for automatically providing IP addresses.
DRX-32 DRX model used with S3 And F3 product models.
DRX-46 DRX model used with F3X product models.
DRX Setup Webpages Webpages that DRX provides for configuration, setup, installation, upgrading.
GbE Gigabit Ethernet.
Geoid An irregular shaped model of the earth’s surface.
GND Electrical Ground.
HDG Heading.
IMS
Interference Management System; Dynamically adjusts frequency around other
sounding devices.
IMU Inertial Motion Unit/Motion Sensor, typically for roll, pitch and heave.
IP67
Ingress Protection standard.
6 = Total protection from dust
7 = Protected against the eects of temporary immersion between 15cm and 1m.
Duration of test 30 minutes.
KP Key Pulse, typically used to synchronise sonar/sounder transmit timing.
LAN Local Area Network.

PPS Pulse Per Second, used for synchronising time, typically to UTC through GPS.
