To Choose a Patient from the Scheduled Patients List
1. From the Enter New Patient screen (
Figure 37 on page 57), press Schedule.
If prompted to log in, enter your user ID and password.
The electrocardiograph searches its own scheduled patients list. If there is no
scheduled patients list, then it searches for orders in a connected EMR system (if any)
via a Welch Allyn HL7 interface. If one or more scheduled patients match your entry,
their names appear.

2. Highlight the desired name. Press Select.
The next screen in your procedure appears. Most of the patient’s data is automatically
filled in. Some data fields — medications, blood pressure, comments, history, height,
weight — will be blank because this information varies over time.
