8.2 Output signals (PIN 4) - Pulse control
This section describes the signals which the lubricator transmits to an external controller.
The following descriptions apply to the factory setting of the parameter E (E0), see section
“6.1.6 E (Error / inversion of output signals)”.
8.2.1 Overview of output signals
The lubricator transmits the following predefined output signals to an external controller.
LCD display Designation Signal Description
OFF Switched off low, continuous Lubricator switched off
On Ready for operation high, continuous Lubricator is ready for operation
E1 Empty 0.5 Hz, rectangular Cartridge is empty
E2 No cartridge low, continuous No cartridge attached
E3 Undervoltage low, continuous Supply voltage is too low
E4 to E6 not used
E7 Excess pressure low, continuous Maximum permissible pressure has
been reached
8.2.2 Error E1 (empty)
Error E1 signals that cartridge is empty.

Description:
• The circuitry in the lubricator counts the dosing sequences according to the cartridge in use.
830 dosing sequences are possible with a 125-cm³ cartridge, 1660 with a 250-cm³ cartridge.
• Error E1 (empty signal) can only occur after a dosing sequence; any subsequent dosing will
be not started.
• The error cannot be acknowledged; after removal of the empty cartridge error E1 becomes
the error E2.
