4. Loosen the mounting bolts (B) and locking bolt (C).
See Figure 2-2.
5. Using the adjustment bolt (D) set the alternator belt tension until the belt has 5 mm deflec-
tion with a 2.5 kg. deflection force. Re-tighten the locking nut.
6. Reinstall alternator belt cover.
2.8 Miscellaneous Maintenance
Clean and inspect the spark arresters every 50 hours of operation. Replace if damaged.
Inspect the spark plugs every 100 hours of operation. Remove any deposits and adjust
gap if necessary. See engine manual for further information.
CAUTION! Do not remove the plug wire to check for
electrical spark. Damage to the ignition circuit will result.
