Configuration
Setting Battery Types on the Main Unit
You can attach different types of lead-acid batteries to the
Freedom HF. Before installing batteries make sure that you
configure the unit to optimize the charging process.
The settings can be changed by adjusting the dip switches found
on the main unit behind the display panel.

Fixed OFF|OFF 13.5 13.5
Flooded OFF|ON (default) 14.4 13.5
GEL ON|OFF 14.2 13.8
AGM ON|ON 14.3 13.4
To adjust the battery type setting:
1. By default the battery type is set to Flooded (OFF|ON) for all
models except Freedom HF 1800 T (806-1840-03) which is set
to AGM (ON|ON).
2. Detach the Display Panel to expose the Dip Switches.
3. Use the tip of your fingernail or a small screw driver with a flat
tip to adjust the switches.
