After clearing paper jams or replacing a toner cartridge, inspect the inside of the printer before
closing the printer covers and doors.
• Remove any remaining pieces of paper or debris. For more information, refer to Clearing Paper
Jams.
• Remove any dust with a dry, lint-free clean cloth.

1. Open the Front Door of the printer.

Caution: Until the Front Door is opened fully, the Toner Cartridge is locked in place. To
prevent damaging the printer, ensure that the Front Door is opened fully before attempting
to remove the Toner Cartridge.
To remove the Toner Cartridge, grip both its handles, then pull the Toner Cartridge straight out of
the printer. Place the removed Toner Cartridge on a level surface.
