To adjust the ring volume with the volume key

Press the volume key up or down.
To adjust the media playing volume with the volume key
•
When playing music or watching video, press the volume key up or down.
To set the phone to silent and vibrating mode

Press the volume key down to minimum. The phone is in silent though still vibrating
mode.

Press the volume key further one step down to turn off the vibrating mode.
Screen settings
To adjust the screen brightness

From the Home screen, tap .

Find and tap Settings > Sound & display > Brightness.

To decrease the screen brightness, drag the slider to the left. To increase the screen
brightness, drag the slider to the right.

Tap OK.
To set the screen to vibrate

From the Home screen, tap .

Find and tap Settings > Sound & display > Haptic feedback. In some applications,
the screen vibrates when you tap it.
To adjust the idle time before the screen turns off

From the Home screen, tap
.

Find and tap Settings > Sound & display > Screen timeout.
3
Select an option.
To turn off the screen quickly, briefly press the power key
.
To keep the screen on while charging the phone
1
From the Home screen, tap .

Find and tap Settings > Applications > Development.
3
Mark the Stay awake check box.
Phone language
You can select a language to use in your phone.
To change the phone language

From the Home screen, tap
.

Find and tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Select locale.

Select an option.

Airplane mode
In Airplane mode, no radio transmissions are made by the phone.
To turn on Flight mode

From the Home screen, tap .

Find and tap Settings > Wireless & networks.

Mark the Flight mode checkbox.
You can also press and hold
to turn on Flight mode.
