To unblock a locked SIM card

When SIM card locked. Enter the PUK code provided by your operator appears,
enter the PUK code and tap OK.

Enter a new PIN code and tap OK.

Repeat the new PIN code and tap OK.
Screen lock
The screen lock prevents unwanted actions on the touch screen when you are not using
your phone. When the phone is left idle for a set period of time, the screen locks
automatically.
To lock the screen

When the screen is active, briefly press the key.
To unlock the screen

Press
to activate the screen.

Drag the icon along the screen lock path to the other side.
To set the time interval for the automatic screen lock

From the Home screen, tap .

Find and tap Settings > Sound & display > Screen timeout.

Select an option.
Screen unlock pattern
You can secure data in your phone with a screen unlock pattern that only you know how
to draw. Your phone stores this pattern, and when you start your phone or activate the
screen, you are asked to draw it.
It is very important that you remember your screen unlock pattern. If you forget it, it may not be
possible to restore important data such as contacts and messages. Please refer to your
Sony Ericsson contact centre.
To create a screen unlock pattern

From the Home screen, tap .

Find and tap Settings > Location & security > Set unlock pattern.

Follow the instructions in your phone. You are asked to select a security question
that will be used to unlock the phone if you forget your screen unlock pattern.
To unlock the screen using a screen unlock pattern

Press
or to activate the phone.

Drag your finger along the path and then draw your screen unlock pattern.
To change the screen unlock pattern

From the Home screen, tap .

Find and tap Settings > Location & security > Change unlock pattern.
3
Follow the instructions in your phone.
To disable the screen unlock pattern

From the Home screen, tap
.

Find and tap Settings > Location & security.
3
Unmark the Require pattern checkbox.
4
Draw your screen lock pattern.
