For additional details on the following functions, refer to the Advanced Manual which may be
downloaded from the Yaesu website.
Skip Memory Channels, and Specified Memory Channels
Two types of memory channels may be designated, “skip memory channels” and “speci-
fied memory channels” for effective memory channel scanning.
Skip memory channels: Permits designating undesired channels to be skipped during
scanning. Alternatively, only designated memory channels may be set to be scanned
during memory scanning.
Programmable Memory scan (PMS)
This function scans only the range of frequencies between the lower and upper limits
registered in a pair of PMS Programmable Memory channels. 50 sets of PMS memory
channels (L1/U1 to L50/U50) are available.
Dual Receive (DW) feature
The transceiver checks for signals on the frequency registered to the selected memory
channel (Priority Memory Channel) once approximately every 5 seconds.
