1. Warm up the engine for several minutes.
2. Remove:
• Air filter cover “1”
(Refer to “AIR FILTER” on page 3-3.)
3. Attach:
• Digital tachometer “1”
4. Measure:
• High engine speed (with no load)
Out of specification  Adjust.
Measurement steps:
a. Move the throttle lever “1” to the high engine
speed position “a”.
b. Check that the high engine speed is the specified
valued.
5. Measure:
• Low engine speed (with no load)
Out of specification  Adjust.

3200–3400 r/min
