Outboard Rigging Guide - 2001
Engine ID Tag
Located on port clamp bracket.
NOTE: Primary ID consists of the model prefix,
shaft length, and serial number.
EPA Control Decal
The EPA control decal will appear on all 1998 and newer outboards. This decal identifies engine family
information used for EPA Certification. It is located on the port side of the lower cowling.
Explanation of the engine family code:
Z YMXM 3130 2 1 B
Model Year Manufacturer Displacement Application Technology Manufacturer
Z = 2001 YMX = Yamaha Cubic Centimeters 1 = PWC 1 = Existing Specification
M = Marine 2 = O/B 2 = New
Manufacturing Date
Located on starboard clamp bracket.
