Installation Instructions
Preparation for Remote Control Model
N O T E : T he steering friction in this kit will not
fit the 40E R ( without P T &T ) . T his model has a
standard equipment steering friction on the
side of the swivel bracket.
1. Remove the steering hook 1.
2. Remove the fitting plate 1 and grommet 2
3. Remove the shift cable joint 3 and throttle
cable joint 4.
4. Disconnect the wire harness coupler 5.
5. Disconnect the oil level gauge coupler 6, the
trim sender coupler 7, and the power
trim/tilt switch lead coupler 8.
Neutral Switch -
Remote Control Model
1. Install neutral switch assembly 1 and slip
plate 2.
2. Install the neutral switch stay 3.
NOTE:Install the stay 3 with the washer and
bolt.
