3. Disconnect the brown lead terminals 4.
4. Connect the neutral switch lead terminals 5.
S tart-in-gear protection will not operate with-
out the neutral switch leads connected.
Installation
1. Install the tiller handle assembly 1 and nut
2.
T orque: N ut - 38N m ( 3.8 m-kg, 2 7 ft-lb.)
2. Install the grommet 1, engine stop switch
lead 2, main switch lead 3, battery cable
4, extension wire harness 5, and the power
trim/tilt switch leads 6.
NOTE:Pass the engine stop switch lead through
the grommet, then install them to the bottom
cowling.
Align the taped end a of the battery cable and the
extension wire lead with the end of the grommet.
