5. Adjust the friction force.
a. Turn the friction lever 1 fully to the left

b. Turn the nut 2 to adjust the steering fric-
ion force to the user's preference accord-
ing to the following chart:
c. Turn the friction lever fully to the right

and check that the tiller becomes free from
friction.
d. If not, repeat the above steps.
6. Check steering movement for smooth opera-
tion.
NOTE: With the friction lever turned fully to the
right, check the tiller for smooth movement.
7. Install the fuel hose 1.
F it the fuel hose securely in the clamp.
8. Install the battery lead 1, extension wire har-
ness 2 under the shift cable 3, and throttle
cable
b.
NOTE:Set the battery lead 1 extension wire
harness 2 under the shift cable a and throttle
cable
b.
9. Install the screw 3.
